I want to get involved

Whether you’re an individual who wants to volunteer, a company that would like to raise funds or an organisation that would like to commission our services, we want to hear from you!

I'm an individual and want to volunteer.

Great! Volunteers from all backgrounds help YPSF to deliver its essential services, and in return gain a wealth of experience with young people and in a range of activities. You don’t need any particular skills or experience as we provide full support and training, but if you do have a skill you’d like to share then we’d be happy to hear from you. All our volunteers go through a selection process, but we encourage applications from people with periods of unemployment or homelessness as we think life experiences are valuable in your role as a volunteer.

To find out more read our Volunteer Policy, Volunteer Role Descriptions (Breakfast Drop-In | Front of House / Reception) & download our Volunteer Application Pack. You might also find it useful to read our policies about Data Protection, Recruitment of Ex-Offenders Equal Opportunities. Once you have completed the application pack, e-mail it to S.Elder@ypsf.co.uk.

If you would prefer an application pack sent to you in the post, please contact Sarah Buckley on S.Elder@ypsf.co.uk or 0161 228 7654. Alternatively, you can pick up an application pack from reception at Signpost or the City Centre Project.

I work for a business or organisation. How can we help?

We’re incredibly grateful for the support we receive from businesses and organisations, and it helps us deliver our essential services to young people who need them most. We receive support in many forms, from one-off fundraising activities such as bake sales and fun days, to being the beneficiary of Charity of the Year schemes.

Whatever your idea, or if you’d like us to make any suggestions, we’d love to hear from you. Contact us and we can arrange for one of our management team to get in touch to discuss your ideas.

I work with young people, can I commission your services?

Yes! YPSF works in partnership with organisations including Manchester City Council, Manchester Youth Offending Service, Manchester Joint Health Unit and the Department for Education. We are always happy to hear from other organisations who would like us to help deliver essential services to young people, whether it’s in the form of referrals, contracting a service or delivering training. If you think we can work together, contact our executive office to arrange a meeting.
