I live in Manchester

If you’re aged 16-25, living alone for the first time and would like help and support with living independently, we can help.

YPSF’s housing support team can give you one-to-one support in your current home or help you find a home with one of the housing providers we work with. The support we give can include anything from helping you to budget for your bills, coming with you to appointments and helping you to apply for benefits.

We can be your first step for help if you don’t know where to turn. You can call us, email us or come and see us in person and we will talk to you about your situation and help you to resolve it. Whether you have recently left care, been staying with friends or have just left your parents’ home, our support workers can work with you for between six months and two years to help you set up and manage your own home.

It doesn’t matter if you have other issues such as problems with drugs or alcohol, a history of offending or mental health issues; as long as you are committed to moving on and living independently, we will support you. As well as managing your home, we can help you to arrange healthcare, access education and training or look for work. The help we give you is tailored exactly to your needs. All our services are free and confidential.

Don’t wait for a crisis – Get in touch now

I was a lonely 18 year old without a clue how to manage my own home and YPSF turned my life around. Knowing that I could run my own home gave me more confidence in other things – I knew that if I could live independently, then nothing could stop me.” Sam, 21
